Steven C. Luby

Steven C. Luby

President & Chief Executive Officer

Steven (Steve) Luby is the founder, president and chief executive officer of VISTAGY. In this position, Mr. Luby is responsible for driving VISTAGY’s product vision and global business strategy.

Experience

Prior to founding VISTAGY, Mr. Luby was employed as a member of the senior technical staff at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., formerly the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory, during which time he pursued the development of design tools and production technologies for the automotive and aerospace industries. Prior to this, he served as an analyst and consultant for D.H. Brown Associates in the fields of computer aided design and product data management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Luby worked for Cognition Corporation as a product manager and software engineer for groundbreaking products in expert systems-based cost modeling and mechanism design software.

Education

Mr. Luby attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he earned both a master of science degree and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.

Ralph J. Verrilli

Ralph J. Verrilli

Vice President, Implementation Services & Support

Ralph Verrilli is the vice president of implementation services and support at VISTAGY. In this position, he is responsible for ensuring customers’ successful use of VISTAGY software by directing global services consulting and operations, technical support and product training.

Experience

Mr. Verrilli was previously a product manager at Concentra Corporation (formerly ICAD, Inc.), the world’s leading supplier of knowledge-based engineering software tools. During his tenure as product manager, Concentra was positioned for its successful IPO. Prior to this, Mr. Verrilli spent five years in Concentra’s consulting organization where he held a number of positions, and he was a member of the product development organization at Computervision.

Education

Mr. Verrilli holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he also earned a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering.

Edward Bernardon

Edward Bernardon

Vice President, New Business Development

Edward (Ed) Bernardon is the vice president of new business development at VISTAGY. In his current position, he is responsible for the company's business efforts to partner with the world's leading manufacturers to identify new product opportunities, as well as position and launch newly-developed specialized engineering software.

Experience

Mr. Bernardon was previously employed as a member of the technical staff at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., formerly the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory. The majority of his time was spent as the business development manager of the Automation/Design Technology Group. This group was responsible for developing manufacturing equipment and design tools for the aerospace, automotive and apparel industries.

Education

Mr. Bernardon attended Butler University, where he earned a master of business administration. He also earned a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Purdue University.

Robert S. Flory

Robert S. Flory

Vice President, Product Development

Robert (Bob) Flory is the vice president of product development. In this position, he is responsible for the overall product vision and strategy, as well as product design and development of all VISTAGY product offerings.

Experience

Mr. Flory was previously a team leader for research and development of new cost-effective manufacturing processes at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, Inc., formerly the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory. In this capacity, his responsibilities included identifying customer requirements, conceptualizing automated and semi-automated mechanisms to improve cost effectiveness and designing and implementing system controls software.

Education

Mr. Flory holds a master of science degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan.

J. Britton Hutchins

J. Britton Hutchins

Vice President, Finance & Administration

J. Britton (Brit) Hutchins is the vice president of finance and administration at VISTAGY. In this position, Mr. Hutchins is responsible for VISTAGY’s worldwide financial operations, contract negotiation and business administration.

Experience

Mr. Hutchins has more than fifteen years of financial and operational experience. Prior to VISTAGY, he was the associate vice president of finance and information technology at Sonexis (formerly eYak), where he was responsible for budget planning and forecasting, contract negotiation and equipment financing. Previously, Mr. Hutchins was the director of finance at FaxNet Corporation and he worked for Standish Ayer & Wood as a small cap equity analyst. He was also the president and founder of a small venture capital firm specializing in environmental and alternative sources of energy.

Education

Mr. Hutchins attended Babson College, where he earned a master of business administration. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Williams College. Mr. Hutchins is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Scott Carlyle

Scott Carlyle

Vice President, Worldwide Sales

As vice president of worldwide sales, Scott Carlyle is responsible for developing global sales strategies for all VISTAGY product lines as well as leading the worldwide sales organization. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining and enhancing key channel and customer relationships while developing new prospects among emerging leaders in the marketplace.

Experience

Mr. Carlyle brings nearly 25 years of engineering experience to the VISTAGY team as well as extensive expertise in the CAD and PLM markets. Prior to joining us, Mr. Carlyle served as vice president of sales for Integrated Development Enterprise (IDe), a product development portfolio management company, and Progress Software, a provider of service-oriented architecture (SOA) infrastructure software. He previously rose to become regional sales director at Workgroup Technology Corporation, an early PLM company. He also provided sales support as a technical consultant for Hewlett Packard's CAD business and held positions as manufacturing engineer with Hamilton Standard and Carrier and chief engineer with Spirex, a plastics processing equipment manufacturer.

Education

Mr. Carlyle attended Clarkson University where he earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering.
