Applications Engineer - Focus on Product Support

VISTAGY is actively seeking Applications Engineers to work at the Waltham, MA headquarters. As an Applications Engineer, the candidate will provide phone, web, and email based customer support to VISTAGY's broad range of engineering customers. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to VISTAGY’s pre-sales technical activities utilizing VISTAGY products on customer CAD models.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver post-sales support of all VISTAGY products to assist customers in using VISTAGY applications more effectively
- Use of VISTAGY's products within CATIA V4/V5, NX and Pro/ENGINEER on customer CAD models
- Provide in-house technical sales support to assist the VISTAGY Sales Force in selling VISTAGY products to customers worldwide
- Work with VISTAGY's Product Development organization to establish product requirements based on customer interactions
- Support of Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL) documents to customize and extend VISTAGY products in customer environments
- Learn and deliver product demonstrations in support of VISTAGY trade shows
- Document and report software defects using VISTAGY's issue-tracking software
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent technical problem solving capabilities
- Self starter who can prioritize a variety of tasks
- BS, 4 year degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering, materials science, or other related field
- Familiarity with CATIA V4/V5, NX or Pro/ENGINEER is strongly preferred
- Proficient in both UNIX and Windows environment
- Experience with XML, XSL, PERL and/or Python scripting is a plus
- Experience documenting software defects and defining reproducible test cases
