As Senior CAE Engineer for ING Renault F1 Team in Oxfordshire, UK, Ian Goddard has led the design team on the development of the company’s race car composite chassis laminate for the last three seasons. He is part of a small team responsible for selecting new engineering technology and supporting design and manufacturing with CAD, PDM and specialized engineering software. Mr. Goddard is also responsible for leading a major project developing composite design methodologies and software integration across the entire design-to-manufacture cycle. Mr. Goddard has a Masters Degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing from Cranfield University, UK, and an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from City University, London, UK.
