Boeing Canoga Park Documents Savings with EnCapta®

The Boeing division at Canoga Park has a long history in rocket engine design. When engineers at the facility create a new design, they often draw on generations of engineering decisions that have shaped previous products, from the Redstone rocket to the Space Shuttle. “This sort of knowledge is specific to an individual design,” says Tony Eastland, director, Engineering Operations at Boeing Canoga Park. “We had a great many places to store it, but no one handy, searchable place for a given part or project.” Boeing Canoga Park wished to take full advantage of their new technology for capturing past and present engineering information in a form that would be readily available to engineers, analysts, and others in product development.
