Providing Advanced Preliminary Design & Automation Tools for Your Most Complex Composites Engineering Challenges
The FiberSIM Advanced Composite Engineering Environment (ACEE) is specialized software that is integrated into your existing CAD system. It provides a flexible and productive environment for digitally defining composite products. The ACEE automates many of the repetitive design, simulation, and manufacturing tasks related to working with composite parts. And the software easily accommodates the demands of designing a wide variety of composite parts and the complete range of materials and manufacturing processes used to create them.
The ACEE exploits the inherent advantages of many different composite design methodologies—including structure-based, grid-based, zone-based, volume fill, and ply-based design—to enable efficient engineering of a wide range of products such as large, complex aerostructures, automotive substructures, and highly contoured jet engine fan blades.
With the FiberSIM ACEE, engineers are able to:
- Quickly define or import laminate material specifications and requirements
- Speed ply definition by generating ply transitions and boundaries dynamically using an offset profile
- Generate variable offset surfaces for increased manufacturing precision
- Use smart darting and splicing tools that eliminate the process of manually defining each dart and splice through the thickness of the laminate
- Ensure changes are propagated automatically throughout the design by maintaining full associativity with laminate specifications and zone boundaries.
