The VISTAGY Quality Planning Environment™ (QPE) is specialized software that enables quality planning engineers to ensure composite products are manufactured properly. At each stage of the composite product development process, quality engineers need to inspect parts and assemblies to verify they meet specifications. As these engineers create detailed quality plans for inspection, they require efficient access to all the specialized and complex design information.

With the Quality Planning Environment, quality engineers are able to generate their plans based on design and manufacturing data in VISTAGY's FiberSIM® composites software, Airframe Design Environment™ or Airframe Manufacturing Environment™. Also, information embedded in the CAD software specification trees or external databases can be linked to quality plans. The quality plans generated conform to AS9100 standards and may be exported in a variety of formats for use in downstream systems.

The QPE helps quality engineers to:

  • Accelerate the time to generate inspection plans;
  • Reduce errors in planning by linking to engineering-defined parameters;
  • Standardize plans for improving execution;
  • Tailor plans to the needs of quality inspectors.
